Foam Roller

Did 6 mile recovery run today. Average pace was around 9:45.

I bought a foam roller on the weekend after reading about ways of loosening up my IT Band. I've been having left knee pains and I think it may have something to do with my ITB. My Stick isn't quite giving me the effect I wanted so I got a roller to apply a bit more pressure. I tried it for the first time yesterday and it really is painful, but in a good kind of way.

Sorry your having problems with your IT band. That's one problem I've never had to deal with ( yet)

I hope the weather changes for you so you can get some dry runs in for a change.

67 days till a marathon, but you're not sure of which one yet? That would drive me crazy. Just do Eugene, Oregon with me on April 29th and be done with it!

I feel your pain, bro. You NEED to foam roll. Also, may I recommend hip flexor exercises. You may be suffering from a weak gluteus medius, which is my problem.

Simply lay on your side hip and raise your lef as high as you can, try 30 reps or until failure on BOTH legs.
